where has the time gone?

So, you turned 8 months in October. The other day someone asked me how old you were and I said 7 months. I did say that you turned 8 months in october though. Then, I looked at the date and realized that it was the 21st and you were already 8 months. Gosh, I felt like a bad mom.
You are such a little joy in our lives. You are sweet and loving. You have a great attitude but you always let us know when you are not happy with something.
You still aren't crawling but you are up on all fours. You probably aren't crawling because I just put the toys right in front of you. Maybe, secretly, I just want you to stay a little baby for a tad bit longer.
You humor me and let me dress you up in all sorts of cute girly outfits. I have started making tutus for you and I will debut your first one on Halloween. I am also making bows for your hair...we'll see how that goes.

You still can't poop. *mom, just stop reading here!* I took you to the pedi GI last week and he said you are just lucky like that. He gave us some things to help you out but said this is something that you will hopefully outgrow in 2-5 years. I sure hope that it's sooner rather than later.
You are starting to eat more and more solids. We have gone from purees to chunks of pear, tofu, etc... But, you love puffs. I swear your whole diet would be puffs

teagenisms

I realize now that I haven't taken the time to jot down some of the little things about Teagen. So, here ya go...

1. she loves her mommy. this should be number one. always.
2.she loves her brother. she laughs so hard when he gives her a big 'smoochie' kiss. she tolerates it when he plays 'this little piggy' with her feet
3.of course, she loves her daddy. she loves him more when mommy isn't around
4. she loves teething toys. We have a couple wooden ones that are her favorite. Eli never liked to chew on stuff but she does. Unfortunantely for me...she is also in the biting stage :(
5. she can say "mama" and "dada" and "bababa" I like to think she knows the meaning behind what she's saying but, either way, it is so sweet
6. when she wears her 'shoes' she loves to chew on them
7. still not crawling but she gives it her all
8. she loves to look at herself in the mirror
9. still chews on her bottom lip
10. if adam is in town and she wakes up for some reason in the middle of the night, he just has to go in there and roll her back on her tummy and she falls fast asleep. On the other hand, if it happens when adam is out of town and i go in there. There is NO way she is going back to sleep without eating. No way.
11. she has gotten pretty good about the carseat. and the stroller. you just have to catch her at the right time. She has even fallen asleep twice in her carseat.
12. she likes pears, peaches, some squash but she LOVES those little puff things. Loves, loves, loves them. video to come
13. she lulls herself peacefully to sleep at night and for nap. Sometimes she will talk for a few minutes and I just sit by the monitor and listen. It is the sweetest thing you have ever heard.
14. my mom hates it when i blog about her poop. so, i will not say that she is still constipated. and, i will not put it on the record that, for yet another child, we are having to give her prunes and flaxoil everyday.

This was from our photo shoot the other day. Eli was out of town so adam and i took teagen to all my new secret spots to give them a test run! too cute

my little girl

Phew...I just need to catch my breath. My photog. business is keeping me busy this time of year. No complaints really but I am just trying to keep my head above water. Adam is out of town so it is just us.
My little girl is busy these days. She thinks about crawling, alot. But, then she gets mad and decides that she is just happier sitting. Speaking of happy, she is such a happy little girl. And, she loves her brother. Anytime he kisses her or plays with her, her little face just lights up. Lately, Eli has been trying to teach her how to play with his tools but honestly, she just wants to eat them which starts a whole new level of patience on his part!

this is the 'mad' after she tries to crawl. I think it's pretty darn cute
who is that beautiful little baby???
those eyes...

her is eli trying to teach her how to hammer

on a side note

Forgot to mention that T's outfit was my moms from when she was baptised and her cute bracelet was also my moms from when she was a baby. So sweet.

so special

Teagen was baptised on Sunday. As fate had it, I just planned something really small. This turned out to be a really good idea as Eli came down with croup the night before. Luckily, we had planned to get her baptised at the fountain outside of the church so Eli still got to come.
It was so quiet, serene, intimate and special. That is how it should be. It was perfect.

let's see

Here is a rundown...
She is the cutest chubby baby. ever.
This look could come back to haunt me when she's a teenager
Always chews on her bottom lip
Was constipated for 4 days and her daddy took a picture of her trying to poop
Her hands and feet are so cute!!
She is 7.5 months and is pulling up on all fours like she wants to crawl but then she gets really pissed when she can't and plops down and starts crying. I then scoop her up and carry her because, the day will come, when she would rather crawl around than have me pick her up.
Time has flown by with Teagen and I could swear that she is still a month old. Can't I just have a little bit longer?? It is amazing to me that she is so close to being a year old. Hold on while I catch my breath. Did you hear that??? She is over half way to a year. I really might cry. But, she is sweet and fun and loveable. She still really, really loves her mama. If I am around, I had better pick her up. She will play in the exersaucer for almost an hour if her dad is watching her but the second that I try that...ha! lucky if I get enough time to pee.
Still cloth diapering. Loving it. I got a diaper sprayer that you hook onto the toilet to spray the poop off of the diapers. Good idea, in theory. Except, I get poopy water sprayed in my face. However, don't let this deter you(my sweet neighbor) I have found a better solution.
I have never seen a baby try to poop as hard as this little dainty thing. I know, TMI for many but it has consumed our lives for the past 5 days so I thought I would document.
