we're off

9 months and counting. Gosh, I love every minute of it but sometimes I just wish I could freeze time. I will admit that her anxiety keeps her close to me and I don't mind it one bit. Who cares if she doesn't want anyone else to hold her but her mama. Yup, I'm gonna enjoy every minute of that while I can. Secretly, I am hoping that she always remains a mamas girl. Eli seems to be going towards a daddys boy. So, just hoping that I can keep one on my side! :)
She still isn't crawling but man, is she close. She pretty much loves everything. She is a good eater and not too picky as long as you are feeding it to her. At this age, Eli was eating with a spoon by himself. Fat chance here but, as per above, I just don't care. I think I have become a much more relaxed parent(in certain regards) now that I am not teaching. Maybe this will work for me or against me...only time will tell. She is still a great sleeper. I nurse her around 5:30 in the evening, she goes to bed around 6:30 and wakes up at 6:30. She, on a good day, will take 2 consistent naps. One of which is usually 2 hours and the other one is anywhere from 0-2 hours. Bathtime is her favorite time of the day. Of course, this would be during my 'office hours' but I always hear a ton of laughter coming from her room.
She still gets a big smile on her face everytime she hears Eli. She loves playing with him. I hope this continues for the rest of their lives.
Eli is out of town right now so Adam and I decided to take Teagen on a photo shoot tonight. So.much.fun. She soaks up every 'single child' minute that she has and uses it to her full advantage. She totally knows when brother isn't around and all eyes can be directed towards her!

And, sorry if you read my photog. blog because I am sure that some of these will be on there as well

new hat

So, when we were at the Georgetown Market days the other day, I found a lady who made these super cute hats and luckily she had one left in just the right size for little ms t. Isn't it cute...

And, in other Teagen related news...she had her 4th tooth come in and I am thinking another one is about to come through as well!
She loves to eat but especially loves cherios and other related things. I tried giving her yogurt and cheese of which she threw back up(all over my lovely neighbors rug) so I am holding off on that until way later.
Still not crawling but she is getting around. She goes backwards and rocks on all 4's but doesn't quite get that you have to move your arms as well. She is getting really frustrated.
This morning she was playing in the playroom with Eli and Adam. I walked over and asked what was in her mouth. Adam swore there wasn't anything but I made him check anyways. Sure enough, a little lego. Great, stellar, 5 star parenting coming your way! Needless to say, I spent all day meticulously picking up every little tiny thing I could find. And, I shamelessly admit that there were a lot! oops.
She has this darth-vadar voice. She doesn't use it all the time, only when she wants to be like the jeti.
She says momma. Loud and clear. Gotta get a video. So sweet. She will even repeat it to me when I ask her! Melt.My.Heart.
She lovest he cold weather. She thinks its hilarious when the wind blows in her face. She also thinks it's funny when I bounce her up and down when we are walking up and down the stairs.

say what???

Yup, that's right, only 4 days since my last post. Trying to get better.

I made(yes, made...you are reading right) these new bows for T's hair. She hates them. Pulls them off, hates them. Ah, whatever. They were fun to make. Anyone want some bows?
She loves to be surrounded by toys(sorry about the crooked pic...laziness today)
Here she is in the tutu(and bow) that I MADE her for Halloween. Pretty cute, huh?
As you can see...no bow!
More to come later but just wanted to keep you updated. Still no crawling. She has decided that she likes people food. Yesterday, she ate all the green beans(the whole things, not mashed) and cuscous(sp?) that I had on my plate. Hope she keeps it up.
She spent the day hanging with her Papa today. I didn't get any pictures because I was out at a photo shoot but she told me she had a really good time! :) Especially since brother wasn't there to hog her attention :)

my dainty thing

they love each other

Lately I just sit back, close my eyes and think about my babies. I just love them so much. They both have such a big space in my heart that it's hard to describe. I don't love one more than the other, I love them both equally, but different. Maybe not different but not the same. Confused? I never thought that motherhood would bring me this overwhelming sense of love for my children/ It really is an amazing feeling.
I love eli for the little man that he is. For his go lucky, happy attitude. I love him for the way he gives 'big hugs' but more so for the meaning behind his 'big hugs'. I love the constant chatter that comes out of his mouth. I love that everytime you give him a kiss he wipes it off and thinks it's the funniest thing ever. I love him for being all boy. Mighty machines and screwdrivers are at the forefront of his mind, all the time. I love every.little.thing about him.
I love Teagen for the little dainty thing that she is. I love the anxiety driven moan that she lets out everytime that she sees me...as if I have been gone forever. I love that her eyes are constantly wandering around the room until she finds my exact location. I love that I have to play peek-a-boo with her for 2 minutes before she gets tired of it and is distracted with something else so that I can quietly run into the other room. I love her little girly ways. I love it that she is happiest when I am holding her.
I never thought that motherhood would do this to me. I never thought that my heart could extend this far. It's an amazing feeling and sometimes, I just like to close my eyes and think about it. It just makes me happy inside.

Please excuse the crazy amount of pictures...I just uploaded 529 pictures from our point and shoot. Some are from a long time ago but still deserve to be blogged! :)
