cute little toosh

Sometimes I forget to take 'everyday' pictures of T. Although I have a ton of pictures, not too many of them are of us just hanging out. So, Teagen and daddy were having a diaper change when she scooted out of adams hold and decided she just wanted to have a naked rear. It was too cute to pass up.
This girl LOVES her shoes...and,she already has many pairs!

She was sending an email

I am posting a bunch tonight so you might have to scroll back a page to see everything...

bathtime and such

Bath time is usually daddy time. I usually work(or pretend to work and sit on blogs and other sites for hours) and daddy, teagen and eli have bath time. It's fun to be able to listen to them through the monitor as they are always laughing and playing. Lately Eli has been taking showers and seems to be fading out of official 'bath' time. So, I am glad that I went in a couple of weeks ago and snapped these sweet pictures of them during bath.

I have a bunch of other ones and I am going to print some and hang them in their bathrooms and then the ones of them playing together in the 'tub' area. They are in jack and jill bedrooms so both of them have their own bathroom and then they share the tub area.

just growing

Teagen is just growing and growing. And, I am so behind on blogging.

She has been so cuddly the past couple of days. She loves to just sit in my lap and 'read' books. The reality is, she doesn't really like to read them but she likes the idea of it all. She will pick books out and then when we start to read, she pushes it aside and finds another one.

She is jabbering all the time. She loves 'lalalala' and 'babababa' and making other funny noises but amoung her words are:

Bubba-for Eli
Mommy- of course :)
Dadda- for daddy
nana- banana
bump-when she wants to bounce up and down on my lap...
ma-water...don't know where she got this one from

Can't think of anymore now...

new kicks from her dg and papa

she loves balls
she is very tedious with her playing sometimes

She loves food...let me rephrase, she LOVES food! Her favorites are:

string cheese
yogurt
turkey taco meat
turkey sandwich meat
bell peppers
brocolli
crackers
and, when something is really good, she loves to smack her lips after every.single.bite. She just really enjoys food. She will try anything(well, almost anything). For the longest time, she wouldn't eat bananas and then, one day I was eating a banana and she reached over and started eating mine. She always has a highchair tray full of food but she would much rather lean over and pickpocket off of your plate.

She still isn't walking but is standing more. I really have no idea when she will walk...
She seems to have some respiratory funk again. I thought it was allergies but then she started getting a very 'noisy' breathe again so I took her to our lovely pedi and she thinks it has progressed into something else. But, now, we just wait and see what's gonna happen. Hopefully it doesn't turn into pneumonia...again.

that T word

I think it's official, Teagen is a toddler. With that comes many fun, exciting things!

"what are you saying T?"
"I am a stinkin toddler"
"what??"
"I am a stinkin toddler and I have the attitude to prove it"
"what sweetie, I still can't hear you"
"I am seriously ONE, mom"
And this is what happens when she doesn't get something her way!
*her smile is contagious and so is her laughter
*she loves to play by herself for a little while and then she likes to be held. There are only those 2 options in teagen's world

*she loves to eat. as our chiropractor(Kyle) says, she prefers the white trash diet(bread, crackers, etc...). although, she is very much a meat eater
*she is still nursing but only once a day and is becoming more and more fond of goats milk(as opposed to cows milk which we haven't given her)
*she loves balls...this occupies the majority of her day
*she also loves lids and containers and puting things in and taking them out...this occupies the other part of her day
*she is standing more and more(holding onto things) but is more inclined to do it when she has shoes on
*she talks all.the.time
-momma
-mommy
-bubba
-dada
-bump
-animal (and, no, I am not kidding...plain as day)
-ma for milk or water
*she is very active and doesn't take "no" near as seriously as eli did
* she has 6 or 7 teeth but for fear of losing a finger, I haven't counted lately
*she very much wants to do what Eli does
*she loves to swing...for a little while but she especially likes it if you play peek a bo and give her kisses as she is swinging
*still taking 2 naps a day but sometimes it is more like 1 and the other time she just lays in her crib talking

She is just so happy and so fun. I still think of her as my baby and probably always will(because, I still think of Eli as my baby).

I was eating a tootsie roll sucker and before I had a chance to throw it away, she picked it up and put it in her mouth...she thought it was the best thing ever

Time flies

I can't believe how fast time flies. One day I think about posting and then, before I know it, it has been 2 weeks.

Right around T's first birthday she became very sick. Eli had had a couple of high fever viruses and croup and I thought that because I was still nursing T she had somehow missed it. Then, the morning of her birthday party, the fever started. That was on Saturday. On Sunday, I took her to an after hours clinic just to make sure it wasn't an ear infection or the flu. She had all the symptoms of flu; high fever, cough, etc... The flu test came back negative and we were sent home with the 'typical' virus stuff. But, her fever continued around 102-103 for days. Then, in a matter of about 12 hours it went from a cough to a really, really bad cough coupled with lethargy, and not eating or nursing. So, on Wednesday evening I took her, again, to the urgent care. There, she had blood work and x-rays followed by a round of breathing treatments. She had pneumonia and RSV. We were sent home on heavy antibiotics to treat the bacterial infection she had as well as breathing treatments to open her airways. She ended up running a high fever for 7 days and didn't eat for 4. She lost a lot of weight and turned into a skinny little thing.

I am happy to say that by the grace of god, she recovered. We missed checking into the hospital by about 5 hours as her fever finally broke right in time. Her appetite has finally returned but that took a good week. I am so thankful to my parents for coming and helping me out. It was a rough time. And, I am so thankful that everyday I am blessed with 2 happy, healthy children.

i am so bummed that this picture is out of focus...so, so bummed

Doesn't she look so skinny? Cute, but skinny!
