post 2

Since 3 month olds don't really do that much, it is hard to get shots that don't all look the same! So, I tried something new!

pretty cool how you can see me taking the picture in her sunglasses!

3 months...post 1

I finally finished up Teagen's 3 month pictures. I must say it is hard to find time while working full time, having a 2 year old running around and trying to get it while Miss T. is not tired nor hungry...a difficult feat! But, I have finished and that's what really counts! So, the first dose...

Don't I look like my Daddy?
Gotta love the drool!

Big 'ole smile!

Those eyes will melt your heart!
(and believe it or not, I really did narrow down my choices but sometimes it's hard to pick just a few!)

the horse blanket

I have three 'blankets' for Teagen that I use to cuddle with her during various times of the day. The hope would be that she would 'attach' to one and it would end up being her comfort as opposed to a paci or her thumb. We'll see if that idea works out. Tonight when I put her down, she was holding on to her 'horse' blanket and I thought it was just so adorable!

Isn't she sweet!!
***note. She does not always have the huge looking red spot on the back of her head. She must have gotten it as I was rocking her to sleep!

a thought

I was thinking the other day how we have all these random 'bath' pictures of Eli when he was a baby but hardly any of the dainty thing. So, when she got out of the tub, I grabbed the point and shoot and took a picture. Too bad the towel is on inside out and backwards. But, at least I have a picture now!

chomp chomp

Teagen popped two teeth tonight. Yes, you heard me right. TWO teeth. Three months old and two teeth. Is that possible? What luck I must have! I have already felt the repercussions of this early teething and I ain't too thrilled about it! I swear the bottom two were the ones that would come in first. But, lo and behold when I stuck my finger in her mouth it was the top two. Who knows, she could have 4 by the end of the week!

I find this picture appropriate because that is the teething toy that I went and bought her the other day. I thought it was so cute that she was 'hugging' it.  And...don't you like the hot pink diaper?

sweet sweet faces

All her little faces are so cute these days. Plus, the double chin just makes them extra cute! We are also experiencing some serious drool these days. Adam and I are not to keen on the bib thing so we are changing lots of clothes!!
That big ole toothless smile will melt your heart every time!
Spit bubbling!

That's the drool action
You so funny daddy!

Uncle Andy

Uncle Andy came to spend time with Teagen and Eli this past week. Teagen had so much fun with Andy and he wore her out so much that she slept the rest of the time that he was visiting! Good thing that I got some pictures while she was awake!

Teagen was starting to cry because Uncle Andy told her Auntie Megan couldn't make it to visit!
She eventually recovered from the sad news...

3 months

Today marks three wonderful months that we have spent with our dear sweet dainty little thing. Three months. I can't believe it! Time flies when your having fun.

Three things to remember about three months!
1. She has really started the interaction phase and will smile and laugh at you. It definitely has more meaning behind it.
2. She was sleeping through the night but since the fever we have digressed. I think she is also going through a growth spurt because she woke up every three hours last night... at least I hope it's a growth spurt! Her favorite place to nap is still right on your chest. I am not complaining because I try to take one nap with her everyday!
3. She has her own little personality that is so much different than her brothers. She prefers to be in on the action. She wants at least one human hand on her at all times but really prefers two. She knows when you look away or are not 100% engaged in her and that brings out the pouty lip.
When you have one child you never imagine being able to love another child in the 'same way' It just doesn't seem possible. At least, that is what I thought. Our little dainty thing has stolen my heart. I could not imagine my life without her! Three months down and many more to come!

**more 3 month pictures to come after this weekend!

Mothers Day

Having a daughter has opened up a whole new world to me. Beyond the pink bows, little bikinis and cute dresses it has made me appreciate that mother-daughter bond. That which you only truly understand when it happens to you.
This mothers day has me thinking about my mom. I love her dearly. She is a strong willed, determined individual. On the other hand, she is kind, exuberant and loving. She is a genuine heart. She is the first person that I call on for advice and the first person that I call on to complain. She is a rock when all else in my world crumbles. She assures me that I am a good mom in a way that only your mother can do. She inspires me to do better. More so, she inspires me to be a better mom. To take the bad days and make them good. To take the good days and make them better. To take each day and make it the best. She has taught me appreciation. To appreciate every moment of my childrens lives. To appreciate every milestone they reach. To appreciate the small things. To appreciate everyday as the beginning of something great.
I hope that I am able to be half the mother to my children as my mom is for me. If I can raise Eli and Teagen with the same love that she has raised us then I know that I will raise two beautiful children. So, here is to you Mom on this mothers day! I love you!!

Happy Mothers Day to me...

Teagen decided that this being her first time to celebrate Mothers Day with me that she would go all out! You know I will be putting this to good use taking pictures of my little dainty thing. In fact Teagen, one day you could really come to hate this little gift you got for me!
The Canon 85mm 1.2LII lens
Minus my children, one of the most beautiful things I have seen in a long time!!!

a little prayer

for our dainty little thing tonight. The little girl ran a fever of 100.2 today. Anything over 100.4 is an emergency for babies under 3 months. After a trip to the Dr. it was decided that she has some sort of virus and is under close observation. At the office her temp had dropped to 99.8 but before bath tonight it was back up to 100.1. Here is to praying that we can stay below 100.4 tonight...and tomorrow and for a really long time because if I see the inside of an emergency room again, I might just scream!

BUMBO

She is still a little young for the Bumbo but I thought we would try her out anyways. She really hates anything that doesn't involve human contact. I was surprised when she sat in it for 5 minutes without complaint!

(this one will be framed and going on the wall in the playroom...I love it!)

To you too...

Here is what Teagen had to say about our photo shoot today!
Still trying to get 'that' picture of the little man and her.

Daddy Time

Adam has taken to a little girl as I knew he would. He loves all the bows, outfits, cute socks and everything else that comes with a little girl.

can't remember

I can't remember if I ever posted this picture. But, even if I did, it's one of my favorites so it deserves a second go round! My sweetie-pies, I love them so much!

Bye Bye Friend

It's been a fun ride but I think it's time for us to go our separate ways. Our relationship seems to be one way. You fall down, I pick you up. You are dirty, I clean you. You come out, I pop you back in. You go missing, I look for you. Really, your performance is below average these days. You don't seem to stop the crying but rather frustrate it to a whole new level. Yes, our days are coming to an end. It has been a fun ride, you have been with us since the beginning but your time has come. This is one relationship that I can live without. So, here we say our goodbyes. It has been nice knowing you.
