guilt

I am slightly guilt stricken over Teagens lack of Christmas pictures this year but with illness and all...I just lost track of time. However, this one makes up for it!
And, I am never one to compare but I remembered this picture from Eli and his first Christmas..

Christmas tree farm

Here is Teagen enjoying cutting down her first Christmas tree...okay, she was cold and tired but she still had a smile on her face!

well, it was bound to happen

So, Eli got an ear infection and as a result, got pink eye. ughh...so gross. The words from the Dr. were "try not to let him get near the baby". Right, obviously, this wasn't their doctor because she knows that's not possible. Well, we thought we had missed it. I thought we got lucky. She got an ear infection and I thought that was it. I was wrong, she finally got it. Luckily, the antibiotics were good for both...the pink eye and the ear infection. And, for the proof. Look at these poor, pitiful eyes. So, so sad. Her case was both eyes and much worse than Eli's.
And, in case you can't see them in the black and white...look at her eyes in color...
But, she is still so cute!
During that same bathtime, Eli wanted to read to her during her bath...
Such a sweet brother(if only she could actually see the pages!) :)
As a result of said infections, she was unable to go to the Christmas service at church. But, not to worry, Adam was sick and so they stayed home together. Here is Eli and I leaving for Church but I wanted to include T in the picture without bringing her outside because it was so cold...
Minus my serious double chin...I really love these two!

a re-do

So, obviously, I am sleep deprived and didn't edit this post before I published it. Then, it took me 3 days to realize that I had published it. Oops. So, to finish up...

I just love her tush

This is the doll that she got from DG and Papa...isn't she cute!!!
Here she is trying to figure out what the big deal is!

I just realized that Teagen will be 11 months in January which means she will be a year in February and holy crap, it's almost time for her birthday. As my broken record goes, time always flies by. I long to hold my little tiny baby in my arms, for just a little bit longer, but I am overcome with joy when my growing baby crawls over to me and calls out "mama".

She is still a very serious baby and everyone always thinks she's mad. Really, she's not mad, just very serious. Although, she has the sweetest belly laugh that you have ever heard.

She had a great first Christmas but was originally overwhelmed with all of the 'stuff'. And, not to mention that she had an ear infection. That was our holidays, everyone sick.

Her DG and Papa gave her her first doll. She absolutely loved it when she opened it. It still brings a smile to her face everytime she sees it!!

The thing that cracks me up the most about her is how much she eats. This girl loves her food. She will eat a lot of stuff but only if she likes the texture. She doesn't really like fruit unless it's pureed. She loves, loves, loves chicken. But, she also like quesadillas, barbeque, potatoes(only with a lot of butter), falafel, olives, shredded cheese, turkey tacos and pretty much anything with some serious flavor/seasoning.

snowy days

Actually a snowy minute but luckily I am quick with the camera and ran my barely dressed baby outside for a couple of quick pics before we ran to get Eli early from preschool so he too could partake in the 'snow'. Even if it only lasted a minute, it was so much fun! And, it reminded me again how much I want to move somewhere up North. Now, I don't know how long I would last there but I think it would be fun for a year or two and, not to mention fun for the kiddos!
Where is the snow mom??

No, really, I don't see any snow!!!

and, one with my big brother!!

many fun things

My little baby is growing up. Right before my very eyes. Maybe, if I just shut my eyes then I won't see it and she will stay little forever. But, then I would miss out on all the fun stuff. So, I will wipe my tears aside and keep watching her blossum into the sweetest little girl around.

She has her 6th tooth coming in. Watch out mommy. If I do something else while I am feeding her(and, by something else I mean not having both my eyes on her at all times) then she will ever so kindly bite the shit out of me. Ha! Can't wait till number 7 comes in.

She is crawling! Yes, crawling. Like, not all around, but 6 steps at a time. It's a whole new ballgame now! She had so.much.fun today just crawling around and exploring. She was entertained for 45 minutes by herself. A first for us. I kind of missed her not sporting a big fat pouty lip and crying big ole tears for her mommy but my floors appreciated the moping.

She is so chunky. Her little cellulite thighs and butt make you fall off your chair. I am going to try this week to get naked pictures of her. It's so cute. It's like she has a muffin top on her thighs...I don't know how else to describe it!

So, sorry if you read my photog. blog because this will probably be up there later. But, I have been trying forever to get some good pictures of Eli and Teagens eyelashes. They are so long and so beautiful and I just want to remember them. So, I got this one of T the other day and plan to make it a very big print to go on our stairway.

before i forget

the holiday rush is almost over...breathe!
Before I forget...
Teagen had her 5th tooth come in today!
She is so close to crawling but is getting very mad at her lack of speed to actually get somewhere. She is moving her arms/legs but nothing more than 1 step
Her anxiety is at an all time high. She wants me and only me. Sometimes dad can be a substitute but not if I am around. I give her all of 2 seconds in someone elses arms before the pouty lip and big ole tears start rolling. What can I say, she loves her mommy? I am thinking that she will need some sort of mothers day out next year.
More pics to come later but see those tears..
